Conducting:

Nov. 1, 2017: Douglas Anderson conducts the BMCC Downtown Symphony in Theatre I of the Tribeca Performing Arts Center located at 199 Chambers Street in lower Manhattan, NYC.  Program will include Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture and Beethoven’s Symphony No. 3, Eroica.  FREE!

Dec. 3, 2017: Douglas Anderson will conduct the Putnam Chorale in a program of Baroque masterpieces: Handel’s Zadok the Priest, Vivaldi’s Gloria, and concert performance of Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas.

Dec. 9, 2017: Douglas Anderson will conduct the Messiah Sing-along of the Putnam Chorale.  Gilead Presbyterian Church in Carmel NY, 8 pm.

Dec. 10, 2017: Douglas Anderson conducts the BMCC Downtown Symphony in the 31st Annual Open Sing of Handel’s Messiah in Theatre I of the Tribeca Performing Arts Center located at 199 Chambers Street in lower Manhattan, NYC.  3:00 pm.  FREE!

March 14, 2018: Douglas Anderson conducts the BMCC Downtown Symphony in Theatre I of the Tribeca Performing Arts Center located at 199 Chambers Street in lower Manhattan, NYC.  Program TBA.  FREE!

Compositions:

Summer-Fall 2017: Douglas Anderson goes into the studio with several soloists, recording his solo instrumental works for release sometime in 2018.  Stay tuned!

Fall, 2017: Three Strings & a Whistle will be reviving Douglas Anderson’s Chamber Symphony No. 3  in their concert repertoire; performances will include their annual concert at the Ten-Ri Institute (43A West 13th Sreet in Manhattan) on Friday, October 27, at 7:30 pm.  They commissioned the piece and premiered it in 2001, and have periodically revived it since then.  Their recording of it is part of Douglas Anderson Chamber Symphonies 2, 3, & 4, a CD released on the Ravello label.
